I am new and dont exactly know if I will know how to get back,lol, but...
I am of the Rromani Tribe and left my subculture of the Rromania here. I am looking to get with musicians who are interested in learning our music and playing back up for my lyrics and singing. I also play percussion and dance Rromani. I am a slight bit older, 38, but young in physical and I pray, in spirit. I am asked to sing with many local musicians and have been singing and dancing all my life; as all my people do, till we die. I did not get with the music when i was younger in the professional way, but with travel, Kumpania, and parties, so forth. But now that the girls are more grown, I think I could still do it, and there seems to be intrest. I have the handicap of not knowing how to acompany myself, so I have been limited to Gypsy musician backups, or other non Gyspy friends and going accapella, lol. It would be great to gather with thouse who appriciate the styles of our peoples music. I would like to blend the American hip hop, world culture music with the Rromani style, and know how. I can verify all that is said and wish you all many sweet blessings.
